The step into the third dimension: this section documents an ongoing, focused phase of development in the work of Steffen Mumm. For years, the Düsseldorf-based artist has been taking his characteristic faces out of two-dimensional space and transforming them into three-dimensional sculptures. Almost like a scientist, he continuously explores these forms, allowing them to grow gradually and giving them a lasting, physical presence in space.
